Maplehurst Guest House is situated on the main bus route of the A7 road on the southern edge of Galashiels, only 35 miles south of Edinburgh – a perfect base for exploring the culture, towns and countryside of the beautiful Scottish Borders.

Within easy reach, you’ll find romantic ruined abbeys and imposing castles, busy market towns and pretty villages, gentle lowland hills and a wild, spectacular coastline – all within the catchment of one of Britain’s great salmon waters, the River Tweed.

Right here on the doorstep, there’s the Southern Upland Way, Sir Walter Scott’s magnificent Abbotsford House, and shops and eateries galore in Galashiels itself.
